We had tried lots of different methods, spreadsheets and generic software in the past to keep track of the hundreds of jobs which make up each van conversion. Each one seemed to generate more work without providing us the information and analysis that we wanted to extract from the data.

This resulted in us spending hours each week data gathering and then finding it difficult to use that information to inform future projects and information ended up being lost. It was more difficult to know if we were on schedule with each project and to plan future timings.

It seemed to be purpose built and suit our business perfectly, it was just what we needed and had other features that we didn't even know we needed at the time.

Global Workshop has enabled us to streamline data collection and get the rest of the team involved with this process, enabling them to track their own time better which helps us to accurately monitor jobs. This ultimately helps inform us of how long each job realistically takes, how much time we should therefore allocate in future and how much we should charge for that job. The progress bars enable an easy visual representation of if we are running on time. Since we have started using Global Workshop we now run to time and occasionally even ahead of schedule.

Yes the client timeline has been invaluable to give our clients a more professional service and allowing them to feel more involved in the conversion, tracking progress with updates and photos throughout. Since using Global Workshop we have also won multiple awards for our customer service and I feel the client portal has a big part to play in that. It has also functioned as a hub of information and photos for each van we produce that we can go back to at any time.
